I kind of touched base on this last week. If we fill ourselves up with material things of course we feel instant joy. Did you ever notice how long it lasts? Not very long. When you are filled up with joy because of the people in your life, accomplishments you have made, and the feeling we get when we give to others, that is the true joy that lasts forever. Surround yourself with people you love, people that make you laugh, those who inspire you. Take a walk in nature and admire all that is there for YOU. Send an old friend a card, help someone load their groceries into their car, volunteer at a local shelter, even if it is only for a day. Be thankful for everything in your life. You will see a tremendous amount of things flow into your life that you have to be thankful for when you are showing gratitude. And, you will feel full of joy which will last you much longer than you can imagine. Because you are in joy, you will spread that to everyone around you.
I am so thankful that my sister-in-law passed The Secret on to me. I am even more thankful that Rhonda Bryne decided to take everything she had learned and everything she knew about The Secret and put it into a book to share with the world. I am thankful for each person who is featured in The Secret for sharing their own personal experiences as proof the The Secret is real. I am thankful that using The Secret has made my life so much more positive and so much more fulfilling. I am thankful for having an open mind and allowing myself to believe in The Secret despite what others may think or say. I am thankful for my angels who have guided me down the right path and have opened my eyes to a better future. I was meant to read this book and I was meant to put it into my life. It is working for me and I only hope that everyone around me allows me to inspire them to make the same positive changes that I have.

Life Has No Limitations
This has got to be one of my most favorite quotes:
Life has no limitations, except the ones you make. -Les Brown
How true is this? I remember as a child thinking, wow I have such a long life ahead of me, what am I going to choose to do with it? Now as an adult I realize that I still have a long life ahead of me and I have a lot of things I am going to do! Your life is limitless. You can do anything you want to do, you can be anything you want to be. If you are sick, you can be healthy, if you are poor, you can be rich. Do not put limits on yourself then sit there and pity yourself. If you are thinking that there is no way you can do something....then you are right. Tell yourself instead, that there is nothing you can't do. It is all in positive thinking that gets you to where you want to be. And remember the blog a few weeks ago.....key word.....BELIEVE. If you do not wholeheartedly believe, nothing will work for you. Start writing down the things you want or wish for. Write down your dream job, your dream vacation, details of your dream partner. If you believe that you deserve your dreams come true and focus on the fact that we have no limits...you will see amazing things happen! Good luck!

Stop and Smell the Roses
I played The Secret Memory Game this morning and this is what I got:
Remind your children constantly, through your words, that they are unlimited – that they can have anything, do anything, and be anything they want. Remind them to speak of what they want and to focus on that. When they say they don’t want something, ask them what they do want. Always bring them back to what they want. Embrace each of your children as the unique being that they are, and rejoice in their freedom to express themselves. Allow them to learn their own lessons, and know within yourself that everything is unfolding for them perfectly.
I love that there is a way that we can instill The Secret in our children. Of course they still need to learn the difference between material things fulfilling them verses what honestly gives inner happiness. We as adults need to show them the way. If we fill our lives up with material things thinking that those will keep us happy, our children will have the same beliefs. Our children need to see that it is the simple things in life is what matters. Ever hear the saying, stop and smell the roses? To me it means, take time to look around you and see all that is here for us. All that nature has to give and yet nature asks for nothing in return. Stop focusing on the every day stresses and realize that we are the ones who chose our lives to be as stressful as they are, whether it be by our choices or our attitude. Remember that children are little sponges and they feel and see everything that we do. Make it a goal to ask your children what they are grateful for so that they focus on the happy things in their lives. Let them know that they have a wonderful future in store for them and that you will be there for them every step of the way.

A Sign From My Angels
The quote I received this morning from playing The Secret Memory Game:
The truth is that the Universe has been answering you all of your life, but you cannot receive the answers unless you are aware. Be aware of everything around you, because you are receiving the answers to your questions in every moment of the day. The channels those answers can come through are unlimited. They could be delivered in the form of a newspaper headline that attracts your attention, or overhearing someone speaking, or a song on the radio, or signage on a truck passing by, or receiving a sudden inspiration. Remember to remember, and become aware.
For most of you, you already know that music is a very big part of my life. I am about to share a story with you that you may not believe or even understand.
A couple of weeks ago I was struggling. I found that my positive outlook on life was slowly turning negative and something needed to change. I had read an article some time ago about how our angels try to contact us. Some of the ways are through signs, people we meet, and music. After reading this article I started to open my eyes a bit more and to hear things that I think I was ignoring. At work I turn on the lights and then the radio. Every day for about a week there was a song on that I had never heard. I am pretty good at ignoring the radio at work but for some reason this song seemed to stick out like a sore thumb. It seemed to be on ALL the time! I could not fully understand the words and they never seemed to say who sang it or the title. So, one night during a class I decided to search Youtube.com. After listening to a million songs (at least it seemed like a million) I found it. I looked up the lyrics then to read something that opened my eyes very wide. It was everything I have been feeling inside for a while now but was not ready to face. Of course I started to ball and head for the bathroom. The song was definitely a sign from my angels saying that I need to change my life and that change was totally ok. The song is Where I Stood By Missy Higgins. I have to tell you, once I had the realization of what I was hearing over and over again, I have not heard the song.....not even once. So listen and be aware, have an open mind and believe. You never know what your angels are trying to tell you unless you are really listening.
